New York Stewart International Airport (SWF) is about 70 miles outside of Manhattan and will likely take you 1.5 to 2 hours to get from the airport to New York City. Definitely worth considering. How to get from New York Stewart International Airport to New York. No frills, but the price difference is amazing. Overall I would highly recommend this service. We had a gin and tonic on board, tonic was $2/can and we bought minatures at EDI! The plane did not have wifi as it was “so new it hadn't been fitted yet" which seemed like a lie but to their credit it was working on the way back. That said, there looked like there was a convenient bus to the city from the airport door. This is obviously more than coming from a closer airport although the per person difference is not great and it is door to door. The drive was 90-120 minutes depending on traffic. This cost $180 going in to NYC at night and $220 leaving NYC at rush hour. ![]() We travelled with 2 kids and neither myself nor my wife are particularly tall so leg room was more than adequate.Īt Stewart we got a taxi (2126666666 Carmel cars). We bought our own food (M&S outbound and deli return). ![]() In particular at Stewart, immigration was a breeze and took minutes, not hours as we have experienced at JFK in the past. Both legs left roughly on time and arrived on time. However we were very pleasantly surprised. We were sceptical about the service as it was so cheap. We recently flew on Norweigan from Edinburgh to New York.
